The latest release strengthens the enterprise management platform for THOR with more resilient endpoint connectivity, enhanced platform security, and new capabilities that make enterprise-scale THOR operations even more resilient, secure, and efficient.
THOR is Nextron’s flagship compromise assessment, incident response, and threat hunting solution. By combining Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), YARA rules, Sigma rules, forensic analysis, anomaly detection, and threat intelligence, it helps organizations uncover attacker activity that traditional security controls often miss.
ASGARD Management Center enables organizations to deploy, orchestrate, and operate THOR across thousands of endpoints from a single platform. With version 4.1, we’re delivering a release focused on reliability, security, and operational efficiency—helping organizations get even more from their THOR deployments today while smoothly supporting what’s next.
Reliable When It Matters Most
Security incidents rarely happen under ideal conditions.
Networks become segmented. DNS infrastructure becomes unavailable. Critical systems experience outages. Yet incident responders still need reliable access to their endpoints.
ASGARD Management Center 4.1 introduces IP-based fallback connectivity, allowing agents to continue communicating with the Management Center even if DNS resolution fails. Reliable endpoint communication should not depend on a single DNS lookup.
The release also introduces additional flexibility for hardened environments by allowing administrators to configure THOR and other jobs to run outside the operating system’s temporary directory whenever security policies require it.
Ready for the Next Evolution of THOR
Version 4.1 includes several important enhancements that make the transition to THOR 11 even smoother.
Support for upcoming Windows ARM64 and Linux ARM64 environments has been introduced, while automatic detection of systems requiring THOR Legacy simplifies administration across mixed endpoint environments.
These capabilities ensure organizations can continue modernizing their infrastructure without adding operational complexity.
Strengthening Platform Security
Protecting customer environments starts with protecting the platform itself.
This release further hardens ASGARD Management Center through enhanced browser protections using nonce-based Content Security Policy, updated third-party dependencies, improved backup extraction security, reduced information exposure within compiled binaries, and additional platform hardening.
These improvements continue our commitment to delivering enterprise software that customers can confidently deploy in security-critical environments.
Making Everyday Administration Easier
Small improvements often have the biggest impact on daily operations.
ASGARD Management Center 4.1 introduces CSV export for Software Inventory, a dedicated Diagnostics section for faster troubleshooting, and quicker access to product documentation and support resources.
Together, these enhancements simplify routine administration and help teams focus on higher-value security tasks.
Continuously Improving the Platform
Beyond the headline features, this release includes numerous refinements across endpoint management, licensing, synchronization, APIs, audit logging, playbooks, Analysis Cockpit, Master ASGARD, and agent operations.
These ongoing improvements continue to strengthen the overall experience and reinforce ASGARD Management Center as the central platform for managing enterprise THOR deployments.
ASGARD Agent Core 2.1
Released alongside ASGARD Management Center 4.1, ASGARD Agent Core 2.1 introduces support for upcoming ARM64 environments, enhanced IP-based connectivity, THOR Legacy readiness, and additional deployment flexibility for hardened systems.
Combined with further platform refinements, Agent Core 2.1 continues to improve the resilience and flexibility of enterprise endpoint operations.
Looking Ahead
ASGARD Management Center 4.1 is available today and represents another important milestone in the evolution of the Nextron platform.
While this release delivers immediate value, there’s much more to come. THOR 11 represents the next major evolution of Nextron’s flagship compromise assessment and threat hunting solution, introducing exciting new capabilities that further expand the platform.
Stay tuned for our upcoming THOR 11 announcement, where we’ll take a closer look at the new capabilities, the technology behind them, and what they mean for defenders.
